Nearing the end of the first semester

Well its been a long semester and now we are only a little over two weeks from Christmas Break. Its so exciting. Even though its getting hotter down here for the summer time, I am enjoying the increases of Christmas spirit that I see more and more of around here.

Brandon and I are ready for a break, just as our students are too, I'm sure. The last few weeks look like they will be the stressful ones. Writing tests, marking tests, and averaging everything. In addition to everything at school, we have had a few projects to complete as well. Brandon is leading the worship for SIM's centennial celebration here in Bolivia. I have been getting prepared to coach a true cheerleading team for basketball season next semester. Its taking a lot of planning to get a real team up and running.

Besides all of this that is happening, the country of Bolivia has been having a few problems as of late as the leaders come closer and closer to making important decisions and changes. We are praying everyday for its leaders and people. We are praying for peace and wisdom to reign in the hearts of our leaders.

We have a wonderful Christmas to look forward to as we expect Brandon's family to visit. We have a busy schedule planned for their visit and its a great Christmas present to have family with us here.

As I look back and reflect on how things have gone this first semester, I am so thankful for all that God has done. He has brought Brandon and I through so much. We have been pretty successful teaching our students even though both of us lacked a few necessary components. We've been sick, but it was short and not bad. We haven't had a hard time adjusting, in fact, it has been smooth and natural. We have made some wonderful friends and we have learned so much. What a wonderful God! I can't wait to see what He's going to do next.
